Principles of customer data processing

This document defines the purpose, composition, and confidentiality of customer data processing at the disposal of Ratastega Raamatud (OÜ) bookstore.

Who is a customer? 

A customer is a person who has entered into a contractual relationship with Ratastega Raamatud OÜ.

What is customer data? 

Customer data is any information that is known to Ratastega Raamatud OÜ about its customer (e.g. name, personal identification number, contact data, transaction data). 

What is customer data processing? 

The processing of customer data is any operation performed with customer data (including the collection, storage, organization, storage, modification, disclosure, access to data, making inquiries and extracts, use, transfer, cross-use, connection, closure, deletion, and destruction of customer data).

Who is the customer data processor? 

The processor of customer data is Ratastega Raamatud OÜ (reg. code 16315800, Pöörise 7-63, Tallinn). The authorized processors of customer data are: Itella Estonia OÜ in connection with the delivery of purchased products; and Maksekeskus AS in connection with processing payments. 

Who is a third party? 

A third party is a natural or legal person who is not a customer or a processor of customer data.

Composition of processed customer data

Ratastega Raamatud OÜ may collect customer data in the following composition: first and last name/company name; personal identification number/registration code; residence/location; current account; contacts; transaction data (data of purchases made by the customer); data about habits, preferences, and satisfaction (e.g. data about the activity of using services, the services used and customer satisfaction and data related to complaints).

Ratastega Raamatud OÜ can store all data and orders (except sensitive personal data) transmitted by the customer through communication tools. On the basis provided by the law, Ratastega Raamatud OÜ has the right to process data about the customer, which is not mentioned in this document.

What is the purpose of processing customer data? 

Ratastega Raamatud OÜ processes customer data in order to: fulfill the contract concluded with the customer; protect violated or contested rights (e.g. transfer of data to court); to better understand the expectations of customers and thereby offer suitable, high-quality services to the customer; fulfill their obligations arising from legal regulations (e.g. transfer of data to the research authority).

In which cases does Ratastega Raamatud OÜ publish customer data? 

Customer data is confidential, it is not issued and access to it by third parties is not allowed without the prior consent of the customer, except in cases prescribed by law. 

How Ratastega Raamatud OÜ uses customer data when providing services.

Ratastega Raamatud OÜ sends its offers to customers. The customer has the right to contact Ratastega Raamatud OÜ at any time to notify his wish not to receive personalized offers.

How do I change my customer data and request the termination of their processing?

The customer has the right to consult their customer data via e-mail annette@ratastegaramatud.ee. If the customer data has changed or is incorrect for any other reason, the customer can report this through the same channel. The customer has the right to demand the termination of the processing of his data and/or the deletion of the collected data, if the corresponding right derives from the Personal Data Protection Act or other legislation.
